Our football program has kicked off in Footscray!
Since the creation of our club in 2017, it has been the vision of all members of the club that we grow ourselves to a point where we can offer a fantastic football program for Females regardless of their experience in the game. We are excited to offer two distinct football experiences for our Female players for season 2023/2024. Read on for more details!
State League 5 North-West Womens Football Team
In 2024, our club will make history as the first ever Female football team to represent Footscray. In 110 years, there’s never been a program for women in our pocket of Victoria, until now.
The focus of our program will be to develop a successful club culture that prioritizes success by developing engaging training sessions, enjoyable game day experiences and integrating the Women’s team into our wider club community, whose name is synonymous with being a welcoming, inclusive and fun place to play football.
No experience is required, only a desire to want to develop your skills while making new friends and wanting to be part of a thriving community.
Training will begin in late December upon the appointment of our first ever Women’s coach.
Introductory Football Program: Go Soccer Mum’s
Don’t let the name fool you! This program is run in conjunction with Football Victoria’s Go Football program, which encourages new players to the game to enjoy regular games-based skill development sessions while making new friends.
Our club have submitted an application to become a Term 4 (based on school terms) Go Soccer Mum’s clinic site, with training to be held at Johnson Reserve, in West Footscray.
This program is perfect for Women who are excited to give soccer a try in a non-judgemental, social atmosphere where the focus is on enjoyment and creating social connections with other like-minded Women.

Thanks for reading and for your interest in our program. We are working with Go Football to confirm our start date in Term 4, at this moment we have planned for Wednesday evenings in Mid-September. We have your email address here and will write to you to confirm our start date when confirmed. We will also confirm the State League start date too, and will update this page for the future.
